Today, I decided to invest more time catching up on the students that I have grown to love. After a complete day of spending time with them, I went back and continued my Facebook and Net "investigations". Reading their blogs, their journey, my tears just flowed because God is amazing. How You work in our lives, coming down to our levels, speaking our lingos and patiently leading us back to Your arms. That's all You wanted - us.
Below, I have written a poem, my first based on the 5 words rule if there is such a rule. They don't rhyme but each line has 5 words.
Who am I, O Lord?
To be placed right here,
To witness Your glorious works
in lives that You so loved!
Who am I, O Lord?
What did I do then
That I am given this
Time with your children
Who am I, O Lord?
That You have led away
From destruction of my past
Fully forgiven and redeemed.
Who am I, O Lord?
Broken and dirty, fully sinner
And You, O Holy Lord...
Came down to restore me.
Who am I, O Lord?
Cause You love me first
That I know I am
Your precious daughter, I am.
Who am I, O Lord?
I am nothing without You
I could not stop myself
to love You, O Lord.
